A1 Hydraulic Engineering has been a manufacturer of new cylinders from its establishment. Throughout our years we have been given the opportunity to build a wide variety of cylinders. Our capabilities allow the flexibility of single unit to high volume orders.

Engineering and Drafting:

Utilising knowledge, CAD software, our team and engineers, we work closely for the best solution for our customers, from concept to completion. Our customers may produce their manufacturing drawings.

Machining and Welding:

Our manufacturing line incorporates a team of trade, certified, and trained machinists, welders, and fitters. We have a range of in-house equipment for turning and milling, manually operated to CNC, welding units and machines; capable of manufacturing in materials such as: carbon steels, aluminium alloys, stainless steels, and plastics.

Assembly and Testing:

When in the assembly stage, any additional components, such as valving, tubing, and fittings can be installed, then pressure tested, inspected, as a completed unit.

Surface Protection – Painting:

One of the final stages before packaging is painting. Colours can be simply selected by stating the colour name and shade reference or sample to be matched. A standard application will be an etch primer, then a colour top coat. A specific standard to be met or other types of protective coatings, such as epoxies, are available on request.

Packaging, Transport and Storage

We also provide a service for making crates, boxing and framing, from materials such as wood or steel, for protection in transport and storage. Proper packaging is necessary to ensure safety for personnel and products are protected when loading, during transport, and off-loading.

A1 Hydraulic Engineering operates with an ISO 9001 quality management system. Our manufacturing line consists of a streamline process and quality control, from materials to manufacturing processes to inspection. Only quality seals from trusted suppliers and seal manufacturers are installed, assuring that the cylinder can perform to the work environment. Pressure testing and test certification of new cylinders is part our standard procedure.
